Some 156 original shows aired from the series which featured Stuart and his backing band The Fabulous Superlatives and Eddie Stubbs as announcer, along with many special guests over the years, including country legends that. Additionally, being able to meet Marty Stuart prior to the concert was such a special experience, so thank you for organizing the meet-and-greet with Marty. Time and distance have only made the heart grow fonder for the work Marty Stuart did on the RFD-TV-based music presentation The Marty Stuart Show between 20. I’d like to thank Jason Conner and the rest of the Middle Tennessee Chapter for all the time and effort they spent planning this concert. That wasn’t all! The chapter also gave away various items from the famous designer Manuel Cuevas, who has tailored outfits for Frank Sinatra, Jimi Hendrix, Elton John and so many more. Additionally, they gave away gift cards to a boot store, the Country Music Hall of Fame and other dining establishments. The Middle Tennessee Chapter gave away two acoustic and one electric guitar. The grand prizes were a total of three Gibson guitars. However, purchasing a wristband didn’t just get attendees into the concert each person also received a concert poster (with a travel tube courtesy of the famous Hatch Show Print) and an entry to a raffle. Nearly 350 wristbands were purchased by conference attendees and their guests. Personally, my favorite song was Marty’s cover of “El Paso.” The acoustics in the Schermerhorn Symphony Center were amazing and it was the perfect venue for the band’s bluegrass country-rock style. The audience was treated to incredible harmonies and solo performances from the entire band. Marty Stuart is a true professional and an incredible musician. Returning with 1989's Hillbilly Rock, Stuart reached the top 10 of the country music charts with the album's title track. When he completed his set, the doors were opened into the concert hall and we were led into the concert hall to take our seats as we waited for the concert to begin. They played cover songs of all genres of music including rhythm and blues, hip-hop, and today’s pop music. This year, the concert featured five-time Grammy award winner and member of the Grand Ole Opry and Country Music Hall of Fame, Marty Stuart and His Fabulous Superlatives it was held at the Schermerhorn Symphony Center.Īs attendees entered the venue, they were welcomed by the Marty Ray Project performing country versions of hit songs. Once we knew we would be heading back to Nashville, I was excited to find out what the chapter had planned this year.Īs they did in 2017, the Middle Tennessee Chapter organized another fantastic concert. In 2019, since Austin is the Live Music Capital of the World, the Austin Chapter organized a concert at an iconic music venue. In 2017, the Middle Tennessee Chapter organized a concert featuring Charlie Daniels at the Historic Ryman Auditorium in Nashville. In true Las Vegas style, in 20, the chapter organized a Poker Tournament. That year, the Maryland Chapter organized a sunset cruise in the Baltimore Harbor. Since 2015, the host city’s chapter started holding events to support the conference and act as a fundraiser for the ACFE Foundation.
